The Great American Brand Story

Official Rules

  1. Eligibility. Lemon Seed’s Great American Brand Story presented by Service Nation (the “Contest”) is open to companies that meet the following:

    • Engaged in the business of HVAC, plumbing, and/or electrical services;
    • Have an annual revenue of $1,000,000 to $5,000,000;
    • Located in the continental United States or Canada;
    • Thriving, but eager to grow and take their business to the next level;
    • Privately owned, with no more than one main owner/manager;
    • Open to the marketing and branding process and possibly changing the name, logo, trademarks, colors, etc. of the business;
    • Able to expend approximately $50,000 over the course of six months to effectively launch and implement brand changes beyond what is included in this Contest;
    • Own at least two (2) vehicles for use in the business that can be wrapped;
    • Have a physical business location that can be modified with signage, wall wraps, or the like;
    • Willing to share the transformation process involved in the Contest via video, press releases, etc.;
    • Must actually implement the rebranding and marketing services included in the Contest; and
    • Must sign a Non-Disclosure and Confidentiality Agreement, a Non-Disparagement Agreement, and other similar agreements requested by Lemon Seed Marketing.

    This Contest is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations and void where prohibited by law. Lemon Seed Marketing's employees, its subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, partners, advertising and promotion agencies, and directors (collectively the “Employees”), as well as members of an Employees' immediate family and/or those living in the same household of Employees are ineligible to participate in the Contest. No purchase is necessary for entry into this Contest.

  2. Sponsorship. The sponsor is Lemon Seed Marketing (“Sponsor”), whose mailing address is P.O. Box 1950, Lufkin, Texas 75902. Sponsor will conduct the Contest substantially as described in these Official Rules. Participating vendors include, but are not limited to:

  3. Agreement to Rules. By entering this Contest, the Entrant (“You”) agrees to abide by the Sponsor's Official Rules and decisions, which are fully and unconditionally binding in all respects. The Sponsor reserve the right to refuse, withdraw, or disqualify any entry at any time at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. By entering this Contest, You represent and warrant that You are eligible to participate based on eligibility requirements explained in the Official Rules. You also agree to accept the decisions of the Sponsor as final and binding as it relates to the content of this Contest.
  4. Entry Period. This promotion begins on January 27, 2025, at 12:00 PM CST and ends on May 15, 2025, at 12:00 PM CST (“Entry Period”). To be eligible for the Contest, entries must be received within the specified Entry Period.
  5. How to Enter. Eligible entrants can enter the Contest by submitting an entry via the online form provided at GreatAmericanBrandStory.com. The online form must be completed in full and a video explaining why You should be chosen for the Contest must accompany the online application. Your entry must fully meet all Contest requirements, as specified in the Official Rules, in order to be eligible to win. Incomplete entries or those that do not adhere to the Official Rules or specifications will be disqualified at the Sponsor's sole discretion. You may only enter once. After the close of the Entry Period, entrants may be asked to participate in an interview with Sponsor and one or more participating vendors.
  6. Prizes. Only ONE (1) winner of the Contest will be chosen. The winner of Lemon Seed’s Great American Brand Story presented by Service Nation (the “Winner”) will receive the following prizes, with the approximate values:

    • Company/business rebrand – $30,000
    • Signage and wall wraps – $25,000
    • Printed and installed wraps – $10,000
    • Website – $15,000
    • Mail drop – $10,000
    • Membership and coaching services to Service Nation Alliance – $15,000
    • Uniforms – $15,000
    • Promotional products – $10,000
    • PR services – $10,000
    • Plus additional marketing and rebranding services – $10,000-$20,000

    The approximate value of the Prizes is more than $150,000.

    The actual/appraised prize value may differ at the time the prize is awarded. The prizes shall be determined solely by the Sponsor and in the Sponsor’s sole discretion. There shall be no cash or other prize substitution permitted except at the Sponsor’s discretion. The prize is non-transferable. The Winner, upon acceptance of the prize, is solely responsible for all expenses related to the prize, including without limitation any and all local, state, and federal taxes. The Winner shall not transfer assignment of the prize to others, nor shall the Winner request the cash equivalent or prize substitution. By accepting the prize, the selected Winner grants permission for the Sponsor to use the Winner’s likeness, entry, and name for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation unless prohibited by law. The Winner must provide the Sponsor with a valid Social Security number or taxpayer-identification number before the Sponsor can award the prize. A Form 1099 will be issued to Winner.

  7. Odds. The total number of eligible entries received determines the odds of winning.
  8. Selection and Notification of Winner. The Winner will be selected by the Sponsor on or about May 15, 2025. The Sponsor may create a committee of participating vendors to assist in selecting the Winner, but the ultimate decision on a Winner shall be by the Sponsor. The Sponsor will notify the Winner by phone and email within five business days following Winner selection. The Sponsor is not responsible for and shall have no liability for Winner’s failure to receive notices due to email security settings that may cause notifications to be marked as spam or junk email. Nor shall be Sponsor be liable for the Winner’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If the Winner (1) fails to cooperate or communicate with Sponsor to begin the brand discovery process by June 1, 2025; (2) is found to be ineligible; or (3) does not complete and return an executed declaration and release within the specified timeframe, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate Winner may be selected. Receipt of the prize by the Winner is upon the condition of compliance with any and all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. IF THE WINNER VIOLATES ANY OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES, THE WINNER (AT THE SPONSOR’S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL BE DISQUALIFIED, AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.
  9. Rights Granted by You. By submitting an into this Contest, You understand and agree that the Sponsor, any individual acting on the Sponsor’s behalf, and the licensees, successors, and assigns of the Sponsor shall, where permitted by law, have the right to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media known now or hereafter developed, in perpetuity, worldwide, and without limitation, your submission, name, photo, portrait, voice, likeness, image, statements about the Contest, and your biographical or business information for news, publicity, advertising, promotional purposes, trade, information, and public relations without any further notice, review, consent, compensation, or remuneration to You.
  10. Terms & Conditions. In its sole discretion, the Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, cancel, or terminate the Contest should non-authorized human intervention, a bug or virus, fraud, or other causes beyond the Sponsor’s control, impact or corrupt the security, fairness, proper conduct, or administration of the Contest. The Sponsor, in the event of any of the above issues, may determine the Winner based on all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by the Sponsor. Individuals who tamper with or attempt to tamper with the operation or entry process of the Contest or website or violates these Terms & Conditions will be disqualified by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. In its sole discretion, the Sponsor has the right to maintain the integrity of the Contest. Attempts by any entrant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. If any such attempt is made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. Further, in addition to all other rules, terms, and conditions of this Contest, the Winner must also consent to participate, and actually participate, in (1) the rebrand process that constitutes the prize, (2) a launch party and any announcements or press releases by Sponsor regarding the Contest and the prize, (3) any and all videos and media regarding the rebrand and business transformation process, and (4) Sponsor’s presentation and announcement regarding the Contest and Winner at the Service World Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada, in October 2025.
  11. Limitation of Liability. Your entry into this Contest constitutes Your agreement to release and hold harmless the Sponsor and its subsidiaries, representatives, affiliates, partners, advertising and promotion agencies, successors, agents, assigns, directors, employees, and officers against and from any and all claims, liability, illness, injury, death, litigation, loss, or damages that may occur, directly or indirectly, from participation in the Contest and/or the (1) Winner accepting, possessing, using, or misusing of any awarded prize or any portion thereof; (2) any type of technical failure; (3) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, phone, or Internet service; (4) unauthorized intervention in any part of the entry process or the promotion; and (5) electronic error or human error in the promotion administration or the processing of entries.
  12. Disputes. THIS CONTEST IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF TEXAS, WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES. The Entrant agrees, as a condition of participating in this promotion, that if any disputes cannot be resolved between the Entrant and the Sponsor, and if causes of action arise out of or are connected with this Contest, they shall be individually resolved exclusively before a court located in Angelina County, Texas, having jurisdiction, without resorting to any form of class action. Under no circumstances in any such dispute shall the participant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorney’s fees, other than participant’s actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e. costs associated with entering this Contest. The Entrant waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
  13. Winners List. You may obtain a copy of the Winner’s name or a copy of these Official Rules, by sending your request via mail with a stamped, self-addressed envelope to: Lemon Seed Marketing P.O. Box 1950, Lufkin, Texas 75902. Requests must be postmarked no later than July 30, 2025.
  14. Social Media Channel-Specific Rules. The Contest hosted by Lemon Seed Marketing is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram.
